Rochelle Ward Occupational Therapist
Rochelle is a dedicated Occupational Therapist specialising in paediatrics since graduating in 2017. She began her career focusing on Sensory Integration and after discovering a passion for this area, completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Sensory Integration, to better support the families that she works with.
Rochelle has experience supporting children with a wide range of diagnoses and conditions, including Autism, ADHD, physical and intellectual disabilities, genetic disorders, developmental trauma, sensory processing challenges and developmental coordination disorder (dyspraxia). She also has a particular interest in toileting as well as supporting parents and caregivers manage any challenges with day-to-day routines.
Committed to continuous learning, Rochelle regularly engages in professional development to ensure her knowledge remains current and relevant to her clients. She values the crucial role parents and caregivers play in the therapy process and enjoys working closely with them to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Rochelle is trained in a number of programs including the Safe and Sound Protocol and is currently completing the remote learning component. She is trained in Integrated Listening System (iLS) Focus Series as well as Interactive Metronome. She has also completed the SIVA Orientation (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments) course, Basic Home Modifications, Learn to Play, Alert Program and the Astronaut Program.
Outside of work, Rochelle is a busy mum of three active girls. When not at netball or swimming, you can usually find Rochelle and her family riding their bikes around their local area especially to the beach with their Labrador Retriever named Marley. Rochelle loves the outdoors and being close to the ocean where she swims or surfs with her family whenever she can.
