Kids + Community aims to increase inclusion in community by providing:
Education - to community services, including a checklist for the business or sporting club to self-assess their level of inclusivity.
Information - for families looking for activities for their child.
Collaboration - expert individualised OT services to upskill the staff, the child and/or key supports.
Adaption - simple, safe adaptions to the activity, including information about Assistive Technology.
Promotion - getting the word out about the benefits of disability inclusion for all kids, including their peers.
Kids + Community exists to enhance inclusion in extracurricular activities for kids with disabilities.
