Kacey Watson Senior Occupational Therapist

Kacey is a Caucasian woman turned slightly sideways, but looking and smiling her radiant smile at the camera. She has chin length, lightly curled brown hair with blonde highlights and wears a plain bottle green top. She looks warm and friendly.

Kacey Watson (nee Kidd) is a Senior Occupational Therapist, joining the Kids and Co.Lab team with a background in paediatrics and disability. Her most recent roles include multi-disciplinary therapy services, Montrose Therapy and Respite Services and CPL (previously Cerebral Palsy League) and teaching at the University of the Sunshine Coast in the Occupational Therapy program. Prior to this Kacey worked on both the Sunshine Coast and in Canada in neurological rehabilitation and paediatrics within community settings.  

Kacey is passionate about providing an occupational therapy service for children and families with an evidence-based, family centred and relationship focussed approach, alongside increasing inclusion for children with disability in various aspects of the community. She is currently undertaking her Master’s of Science in research, with a project exploring inclusion for children with disability in early education settings. Kacey is also passionate about life-long learning and educating future Occupational Therapists. She is currently tutoring at the University of the Sunshine Coast in the paediatric course, attends the local Sunshine Coast Paediatric Special Interest Group and has completed many formal courses to ensure she continues to improve her skill set. Outside of work and study, Kacey enjoys spending time with her family at home reading books with her son, playing at the park, in the pool, or at the beach. She also enjoys hiking, pilates, beach volleyball and volunteering at events like Disability Surfing Australia.
