Emily Baxter - Occupational Therapist
Graduating from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2020 with a Bachalors of Occupational Therapy (Honours), Emily has spent the last 3.5 years passionately working in private paediatrics at a multidisciplinary clinic in Mackay. She has experience working with children of all ages and abilities, including those with complex physical disabilities, developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, and intellectual disabilities.
Emily's approach to occupational therapy is deeply rooted in the belief that every child is more than their disability. She views each child holistically, celebrating their unique personalities, skills, and characteristics. For Emily, the greatest reward is witnessing the joy on a child’s face when they achieve something new, no matter how big or small.
Outside of her work, Emily loves traveling, camping, and exploring new places with her partner and their dog, Frankie. She enjoys Pilates, beach walks, and reading in her spare time.
